Next show this Friday, August 14 at the Elephant Room. JJ Johnson is in town and will be swinging with us as well as old friend and tremendous talent on the piano, Eddy Hobizal. Thomas Heflin and Aaron Allen are also on the bill so you know it's going to be tight. Come down and join us, won't you? 9:30pm-1:30am.

On a brief side-note, I ran into Lloyd Doggett at the HEB this morning. It's good to see your US Congressman slogging it out in the aisles with the hoi polloi. Lloyd is def one of the good guys up there on "The Hill" and continues to fight for us common folk. Good luck to him and the rest of the crew trying to reform the corrupt health care system.
