hello to everyone and seasons greetings and all that. finally got cool in austin after weeks of 75-80 degree weather so i'm "getting into the spirit" as the temperature drops. not that i'm complaining! remember, just a few short years ago, i was pining for the summery temps in winter-time. i do not miss those days. i guess wherever you are, you've got to complain about the weather at some point.
currently in day 5 of my two week vacation from work and i'm finally starting to feel like a normal person again. it's been a little too crazy over there (there: workland) so I'm really enjoying the time off. spending lots 'o time with the little one, sleeping in a bit and generally acting like i've got too much time on my hands. everyday should be so fun!
next music performance will be 1/12/07 at the elephant room with j.j. johnson, eddy hobizal and a bassist tbd. going to try and write some new music during this break but we'll see if i get motivated. hope you all enjoy the holiday and new year!

Just a big fan saying hi and thanks for blogging. I haven't heard your music live in quite a while (moved from Austin to the West Coast), but you and the great players you shared the stage with remain in my memory as one of the real highlights of Austin's music, and I heard a lot of it.
